In this episode co-host Heather shares her transition from living full time with a single mother and only seeing her father every other weekend, to living full time with her father and having no contact with her mother. She explores the trauma of being abandoned and fending for herself while living in poverty to moving in with her dad who she did not really have a relationship with and where money was no object. This transition and episode story takes place between the ages of 11 and 13 for Heather. She discusses the culture shock of moving, change in income status levels and getting to know her dad for the first time. This is a very traumatic period in her life but she is able to start building a unique bond with her dad that she never imagined possible and life starts to take a swift upswing in the right direction.
